Ted helps families and fiduciaries navigate complex legal disputes during some of their most challenging times. In 2008, he graduated from Willamette College of Law magna cum laude, with a certification in Dispute Resolution. His legal career began in eastern Oregon and western Idaho, where he handled a wide range of civil litigation matters, including contested guardianship, conservatorship, trust and will contests, as well as wrongful death and other civil matters.
After seven years in private practice, Ted served as an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel at the Oregon State Bar, where he investigated and prosecuted allegations of attorney misconduct, taught Continuing Legal Education classes on legal ethics, and argued several cases before the Oregon Supreme Court. This experience honed his skills in thorough investigation and effective advocacy.
Today, Ted focuses his practice on probate litigation, representing both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex family disputes. His cases include will and trust contests, as well as guardianship and conservatorship matters, at both the trial court and appellate levels. With over a decade of experience in the law, Ted knows his way around a courtroom. However, he understands that litigation can be emotionally and financially draining for families already dealing with the loss or incapacity of a loved one.
Ted works with his clients to find practical solutions, resolving matters through negotiation when possible and litigating forcefully when necessary. His clients can count on him for honest, thorough analysis of their options and clear guidance through complex legal proceedings. Ted’s extensive experience in both civil litigation and professional regulation gives him unique insight into how to effectively navigate the court system while remaining sensitive to the personal nature of probate disputes.
